Back to District Information Harold H. Allen Trophy This trophy is awarded for an entry of five different Hybrid Tea roses at exhibition stage, each in a separate container. Harold H. Allen was a resident of Chillicothe, Ohio and served the Buckeye District for many years. He was first Vice-President in 1952 and 1953, President in 1955 and District Director from 1956 to 1961. During his term as President he announced the creation of the “Buckeye News Bulletin” with Mr. W. A. Ritter of Akron as editor. Mr. Allen was awarded the Silver Honor Medal in 1960 and was recognized as the District’s Outstanding Consulting Rosarian in 1965.
